Lyndon 6th Dan (Rokudan)

Founder & President

Lyndon is one of the founders of Hereford Judo Club and has been involved with Judo since 1958. He has amassed a huge number of qualifications, with both the BJC & the BJA. Among the vast numbers of certificates Lyndon has accrued are

BJC Coaching Certificate Club Coach, BJC Coaching Certificate County Coach, BJC Coaching Certificate Regional Coach, Regional Examiner (Technical Board), National Examiner (Technical Board) Chairman of Western Region, Member of the Executive Board B.J.C., M.A.C, Director on Board B.J.C., M.A.C. and Honary Life Member B.J.C., M.A.C.

Lyndon is well respected and held in high esteem by all members of the Club.



I started Judo in 1969 at Bath Judo Club.

In 1980 I was awarded my 1st Dan grade with the BJA at the L.J.S in London..

In 2015 I was awarded my 2nd Dan grade

I am Level 2 UKCC Coach with the BJA and a BJC (MAC) Coach. I hold a Safeguarding Children & First Aid Certificate. I have also been DBS checked.

I have over 25 years coaching experience with Hereford Judo Club and enjoy passing on to the students, the skills and knowledge that has been passed to me.


Stan 6th Dan (Rokudan)


Stan started his Judo career at Great Barr Judo Club in Birmingham as a child he is now a 6th Dan.
Stan is a Level 3 UKCC Coach with Safe-guarding and First aid certificates and is DBS checked, Qualified referee and Senior examiner.
Stan has many accolades to his name, including Commonwealth Championship, European Veteran and Wolrd Veteran Medalist


Chairwoman & Coach

Vicki started as a parent helper at the desk, then as crowd control on the mat!
After some persuasion Vicki started her own journey in the sport starting in 2011. Vicki completed a grading a year and is now a 1st Kyu which she was awarded on a grading day at Worcester Judo Club. 
2017 Crowd control moved over to coaching when Vicki completed BJA Level 1, Vicki is now a BJA UKCC Level 2 Coach with Mat-side and Technical Frameworks. Vicki has Safeguarding & First Aid Certificates and is DBS checked.



Jo is a valued member of our team, she keeps the coaching team on the mat with her organisation skills.



Wes is a 1st Kyu and the best Uke, very patient and encouraging happy to share his knowledge.

Wes is a valued member of our team, who works hard to help the club and the members.



Tom is a 1st Kyu, who started Judo as a child. 

Tom is a valued  member of our team he is currently doing his BJA Level 1 and has safeguarding & First Aid Certificates and is DBS checked.

Tom enjoys sharing his knowledge and has the important role of coaching safe breakfalls



Rhys started Judo with us at Hereford Judo Club, with Sensei Gerald at 8 years old.

Rhys is a 1st Dan who enjoys Judo competition fighting. He is confident in Tachi-wasa and Ne-wasa.
